I would like to share a success story of one of my friends. I am really proud of my friend and his success. His name is Gursimar Singh, he is a self-made man. He set up a small startup business of food outlet about three years ago without putting in much money and by the sheer hard work he has made it grow.

While we are at college, he used to work in a restaurant as a part-time job to have some extra money for him. Right after he had finished his study at university, one day he told me that he wanted to start his own restaurant. So to get his dream accomplished first thing he wanted was some cash. We consulted my father as he was a bank manager; he took care of the commercial loan for him.

Then he scouted the location by himself and after the loan got sanctioned. It took at least 2 months to get the restaurant ready to start. He organized a grand opening of his restaurant. In the beginning, it was a survival battle, which was a rush, but when that wore off things became easier for him to manage. And now he is a self-made successful man. He recently opened two new branches of his food outlets at distant places in the same city.

Well, success is a relative term. Every person has different views about it. For some, it means having plenty of money, for others, it may mean having name and fame. However, he is a person who is neither rich nor famous. Yet, in my eyes, he is a successful man. He is admired by many people in our friend circle as he has the liberty of time whereas we are generally bound by schedules and deadlines. He has a good rapport with all near and distant relatives.

When I see him, I feel proud to be his friend. He tries to help everyone who comes to him for help and advice. Whenever I have any problem, he listens to me patiently and then suggests some solution. I like him because I feel I can depend on him always. He is not only my friend, but also a philosopher, and guide to me. I would like to share a success story of one of my friends.
