describe an experience you had a member of team

Nothing can define a human being well than the quote of Aristotle, which says man is by nature a social animal. Human being lives in a society; has many relations and kinships; works as a team player throughout his life, to which I am no exception. Since my school days, I have been an efficient team member and I have learnt a lot by doing so. Today, I would like to share an experience which I gained by being a part of a workshop conducted by NIIT in a reputed college of my hometown.

I vividly remember, it was the time when I passed 9th class examinations with flying colours and I was about to take admission in 10th. I persuaded my parents to enrol me in NIIT for a course named “Computer Web Applications”. They were astonished at my decision as they considered me younger to make such choices. But I was very clear about my future prospects in IT industry as this sector intrigued me the most. Moreover, I have to admit it was an incredible experience which not any developed my skills, but also boosted my morale.

The workshop was conducted for educating the graduation students of MLSM college about scopes of IT industry, various hardware components and basic computer skills. I was on cloud nine when I came to know that our branch head, Mandeep Sir, had selected me to accompany them as I was one of the brightest students. I took leave from my school in order to participate in it.

So it was Saturday morning, around 9am, half of the team members left for setting up the work stations. Rest of us, including me, Nidhi ma’am and Anil sir, reached the venue at 10:30am. It started with a speech, in which Mandeep sir addressed the college students. After that, we went to our designated work stations to impart knowledge regarding the skills in which we were expert at. I was paired with Jeevan, who himself was a student of the same college and NIIT as well. We dealt with the basic computer skills enhancement and had 4 hours session in which I showed them a presentation prepared by me and answered their questions to clear the doubts of the students. We also let them try their hands on MS Office. Most the queries were taken by me and all were wonderstruck by my performance. At the end of the day, being the youngest member of the team, I was appreciated by my team and the attendees as well. It was a fulfilling experience that everybody praised me and I was awarded with a certificate too. When I shared my experience with my classmates and teachers at school, they were also amazed.

After this,I understood the fact that it is not the age which makes one capable of doing things or make one confident, but it is the spirit of the person which drives him.
