Hobbies are the activities which are usually done in order to relish the leisure time. As the time is passing by, the preferences of people over leisure pursuits have also changed. Nowadays, people are tending towards reading, gardening, painting etc. whereas earlier watching TV, collecting coins or stamps were more popular. I love to kill my time by engrossing myself in reading, music or meditation generally. Apart from all this, being a thalassophile, I find immense pleasure in cruising and exploring different islands or coastal places.
I am fortunate enough to be blessed with a wonderful elder sister, who is my best friend and partner in crime too. On top of that, our likes and dislikes are same. She is the one with whom I plan all the things including cruising and travelling.
It’s been almost 3 years that we are going on such vacations to revitalize ourselves. We got this invigorating idea when one of our friends got the opportunity to work as a sous–chef for an Italian cruise which sailed across the world. On his return after 8 months, he shared his amazing experience with us. We were so enthralled that we decided to try it for once. I must admit that it is quite exorbitant to spend time on board. It was 3days/2nights package from Mumbai to Goa which cost us approximately Rs 20,000 per head.
This trip left an indelible impression on us as we enjoyed DJ night, waterfront dining, broadway movie experience and scrumptious international cuisines. Above all, this package gave us the entry to casino too, which was our first time visit. All in all, it was an experience to die for and we decided that we will continue pursuing this as a hobby, probably once a year. At the end, I would like to say that people should spare out some time from their hectic schedules to engage themselves in one activity or the other, which can provide them life long memories and moments to cherish.
