Describe an ambition that you have for long time.

​“A man’s worth is no greater than his ambitions” – a perfect quote expressing the significance of having aims in our lives. Ambitions are the goals an individual sets for himself, which drive him up to achieve those. Therefore, it is the most important tool to attain success, which can lead anyone to achievement and contentment.

I have always been inspired by ambitious people and have set myriad goals till now. However, today I would like to share one of my ambitions, which was established almost 5 years ago. Photography has always been my hobby and I always wished to pursue my hobby with a passion. After I secured 95% in my intermediate examination, my family presented me a smartphone which enabled me to click pictures to add in my personal album on different occasions. Although I received umpteen compliments regarding my photography skills before, I was extolled for these on the occasion my parent’s anniversary where I showed my artistry by being the photographer of the event. I received accolades from many of my relatives which encouraged me to work with determination and passion in the area of my interest.

I started working upon it by reading blogs and articles, watching videos, and bought an udemy course too. It was the time when I realized that wildlife photography appeals me the most and I started following a famous Singaporean wildlife photographer, Micheal AW. After 2 years, I gained my confidence and send some of the best pictures clicked by me to him.  I was unsure about whether he would like those or not. At one point of time thought to renounce too when I didn’t get any revert from his end. Fortunately, my brother backed me a lot and helped me in boosting my confidence.

Early this year, I sent the package of my best pictures to his office with my apprenticeship application form and hoping to get accepted this time. To my great surprise, he commented on my work this time, which filled me with euphoria. I told this to my brother before breaking the news to everyone else in the family. He and the others praised me for my achievement and my dedication, proactive work, and diligence which made it happen. I may get my acceptance in the coming month but this time instead of getting nervous I am optimistic that I am going to make it.

All in all, I believe that everyone should identify their passions, set the aims accordingly, and diligently work to attain them as truly successful people always cultivate their ambitious habits.
