A sound transportation system lays the foundation of a strong nation as it not only makes the citizens’ lives easier, but also by contributing in the economy. Especially buses and trains have always been the most comfortable and convenient mediums of transportation as one can travel with free mind and open soul at nominal fares and can also appreciate the scenic beauty of nature simultaneously. Although I have made most of my journeys by using public transport, here I would like to share the most memorable one from Chandigarh to Jaipur. I was fond of travelling with my late grandfather. We had visited many historical sites together, and he always shared his knowledge and experiences about our culture and historical events. 

It was four years ago, we made a bus trip to Jaipur in the month of March after my final examinations. It was really a very interesting excursion and I went with my family including my grandparents. I was longing to go on this trip for long as my grandfather had told me many fascinating stories about monuments at Jaipur, which I found very impressive.

 We took the super deluxe bus from Chandigarh to Jaipur. We were done with the reservations before a month and the name of the agency was Explore India travels. The journey started at about 8:30 p.m. It took nearly nine hours to reach the destination, including the stoppages. Throughout the journey, I hardly slept as I was very exciting. The bus was fully air-conditioned and cabins of 6X4 were made divided and well curtained. The whole night we talked and he told me the stories of his other exciting excursions and enjoyed the journey. We had a great time. 

On the whole, it was one of the most memorable trips I had with my grandfather.
