Talk about a product that is really popular in your area Please say:
Like every state, Punjab is also famous for its uniqueness in the products such as Punjabi suits, lehenga choli, kurta pajamas, and even turbans. Here, I will be talking about the turbans which is popularly known as dastaar in my area. Turbans are the most prevalent item in my region and the topmost manufacturers of this particular product are Ahluwalia Turban Center which is located in the city Ludhiana (a major textile hub of Punjab). Turbans have its religious importance. Primitively, It used to be worn by the Sikh mentors, who made it compulsory to be worn by everyone who belongs to Sikhism. Actually, it is an article of faith that represents honour, self-respect, courage, and spirituality. The Khalsa Sikh men and women who keep the Five Ks, wear the turban to cover their long, uncut hair (kesh). The Sikhs regard the dastaar as an important part of the unique Sikh identity. It is not only worn by males, but some females also put it on their heads, especially those who are the stringent disciples of Sikh religion. Overall, this is that particular item which is not only an important one in our region but also has an extremely rich background. |
