Describe a volunteering experience you have had

Humanity is the trait in this modern society that considerably requires the most.  There are quite a  few people who help others selflessly. I have come across umpteen nongovernmental organisations which work for the welfare of the society and many of them work for human’s rights and animal’s rights as well. I am also associated with a few of them.

Here, I would like to talk about a very renowned organisation for which I like to do the volunteer work and that is none other than being human charitable foundation which is a Mumbai-based charity, founded by Bollywood star Salman Khan in 2007, it provides education and healthcare services for the underprivileged in India.there is a branch of it in my vicinity where sometimes I go to teach the destitute children. The organization is primarily funded by the sales of Being Human-branded merchandise. The foundation performs many charitable activities. A Mumbai-based non-governmental organisation which provides children with a nurturing and stimulating educational environment. When I go there to teach small and disabled children it really gives me a feeling of satisfaction. Other than this, the organization has set up programs to improve basic skills for students and career development centers. Moreover, the charity accepts direct donations, where sometimes I also like to donate a small share from my side, but it is primarily funded by 8 to 10% share of the sales of Being Human-branded clothing, some of the revenue comes from overseas sales and online sales as well. Hence it does not need that much donation in monetary terms but yes they do need volunteers to come forward, even sometimes I take my sister with me for help, whenever she gets free time. Additionally, PVR Cinemas announced a partnership with the foundation, allowing its customers to donate two rupees whenever purchasing a movie ticket, which directly goes to the “Being Human” charitable foundation.

Hence, this is the most helpful trust I have ever witnessed and I love to be a part of it.
