Describe a time when you changed your opinion

I am not an obstinate, rather I follow that change is the law of nature and one should transform him/herself with the time, be it their lifestyle, mentality, ideas or opinions.

It was during the beginning of this year 2020, when the COVID-19 just entered our nation. Everyone was panicking as if it is any sort of demon. People started feeling reluctant of being socialised, they started wearing masks and gloves, everyone started sanitising themselves, like it used to be in the past when untouchability was there among the community members but that too was only for the people who used to belong to the lower castes but not for everyone. However, this coronavirus in today’s era is pretending just similar but for all members of the society. Initially, I was not that much afraid of this virus as I used to think that many viruses came and went but no one harmed and this also will pass just like that. But I must say I was wrong. It was really a contentious issue and I realized that, when the prime minister of our nation Mr. Narendra Singh Modi announced a lockdown in the entire country. That very moment I realized the seriousness of this pandemic. Everyone was trying to aware each other about this virus and requesting one another to stay at home and stay safe. At this moment I seriously felt that this was something to worry about but there were many people in our nation who were not ready to understand the seriousness of the situation and they stepped out of their homes. Resultantly, the government took stringent actions like they imposed a curfew and other law enforcement so that they can save the nation from this severe virus. By analyzing all these things, I gradually started developing a sense of fear and vigilance so that I and my family members can stay safe and sound. Now, whenever I get out of the house which is only when needed, I always cover my face with a facemask and I try to take all the necessary precautions because this pandemic is getting worse by every passing day. Yet the government has taken several rigid actions still, it is not getting controlled. Today, in India the total number of cases are 4.66 million out of which around 3 and a half million have recovered and the rest are dead.

Hence, it is a real consequential scenario which is why I changed my perspective about this coronavirus.
